CAREER: In his 3-year career at USC, Moss is 66-for-92 (71.7%) for 914 yards with 9 TDs and has rushed for 27 yards on 10 attempts in 12 games. He holds the record for most TD passes thrown in a Holiday Bowl (6), most TD passes thrown in a USC bowl game (6), most TD passes thrown by a USC QB is his first Trojan start (6) and tied the Pac-12 Bowl Game passing TD record (6).
2024: Moss, the record-setting Holiday Bowl Offensive MVP, will compete to be USC’s starting quarterback as a redshirt junior in 2024.
2023: In 2023, Moss completed 46-of-65 passes (70.8%) for 681 yards and 7 TDs with just 1 INT, plus he rushed for 32 yards on 4 carries (8.0 avg.) and scored 2 TDs while seeing action in 5 games with 1 start.
He went 5-of-7 for 63 yards and rushed for 4 yards on 1 carry to score a TD against San Jose State. He went 7-of-10 for 134 yards and 1 TD against Nevada. He went 11-of-15 for 112 yards and rushed for 15 yards on 1 carry to score a TD against Stanford. In the Holiday Bowl against No. 15 Louisville, Moss went 23-of-33 for 372 yards and 6 TDs in his first USC start to lead the Trojans to a 42-28 victory. He also recorded 2 carries for 13 yards (6.5 avg.). Moss was named the Holiday Bowl Offensive MVP and set the record for most TD passes thrown in a Holiday Bowl (6), most TD passes thrown in a USC bowl game (6), most TD passes thrown by a USC QB is his first Trojan start (6) and tied the Pac-12 Bowl Game passing TD record (6).
2022: Moss saw action in 5 games (Rice, Fresno State, Arizona State, Colorado and the Pac-12 Championship versus Utah) as the USC backup quarterback in 2022. He went 12-of-14 (85.7%) for 159 yards and 1 TD. He went 6-of-7 for 81 yards and rushed for 10 yards on 1 carry against Rice. He rushed for 3 yards on 1 carry against Fresno State. He went 6-of-7 for 78 yards and 1 TD against Colorado.
2021: Moss, who enrolled at USC in the spring of 2021 after graduating a semester early from high school, saw action in 2 games (Washington State and California) as a backup quarterback as a first-year freshman in 2021. Overall, in 2021, he completed 8-of-13 passes (61.5%) for 74 yards with 1 TD and had 3 rushes for minus 14 yards (-4.7 avg). He played 1 snap at Washington State when backup Jaxson Dart went out briefly with an injury, then completed 8-of-13 passes for 74 yards with a 16-yard TD at California when Dart went out with a third-quarter injury.
HIGH SCHOOL: He made the 2020 PrepStar Dream Team and Southern California News Group Fab 15 first team as a senior quarterback at Bishop Alemany High in Mission Hills (Calif.).
As a 2019 junior, he was Cal-Hi Sports All-State Juniors first team, All-CIF Division 3, Los Angeles Daily News All-SoCal and Los Angeles Daily News Offensive Player of the Year when he completed 215-of-319 passes (67.4%) for 3,118 yards with 28 TDs and 10 interceptions and he also ran for 105 yards on 31 carries (8.8 avg) and averaged 38.9 yards on 12 punts.
As a 2018 sophomore, he threw 19 TDs and 14 interceptions. Current Trojan Jaylin Smith also prepped at Alemany.
He spent his 2017 freshman season at Loyola High in Los Angeles (Calif.), completing 33-of-55 passes (60.0%) for 350 yards with 2 TDs and 3 interceptions. Current Trojan Jack Susnjar also prepped at Loyola.
PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor’s degree in Law, History and Culture with a minor in Business Finance in spring 2023 from USC (graduating in 2 years). He is pursuing his master’s degree in Social Entrepreneurship. He made the 2021 and 2022 Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll. His mother, Emily, was a professor in USC’s School of Architecture.
