Beau Allen

OG, DT · Wisconsin
Allen played in all 13 games as a freshman, recording 15 tackles in reserve action. He again played in every game the following season, ranking second on the team with 4.0 sacks to go with 22 tackles. Allen continued his development as a junior, entering the starting lineup for all 14 games and posting 7.5 tackles for loss. He capped his productive Badgers career with 13 starts in 2013, finishing with 20 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He leaves as the school's all-time leader with 54 career games played, seeing action in every game since he set foot on campus. Allen was named All-Big Ten honorable mention as a senior and enters the NFL with good experience as a two-year starter on a Badgers line that annually churns out pro-level blockers. He didn't score a coveted Scouting Combine invite, but did post an impressive 30 reps at 225 pounds at his pro day.

strengths

Fires out of his stance and plays with a physical, mean motor, engaging double-teams and holding the point of attack. Allen isn't flashy, but does the dirty work and takes care of business in the trenches. Displayed excellent upper-body strength with 30 reps at pro day.

weaknesses

Is not an elite athlete. Brings little to the table as a pass rusher. Good complementary player, but does not consistently dominate one-on-one matchups. May be able to serve as a rotational body, but does not make enough plays on his own to project as much more.
