Selected as a Freshman All-American by the FWAA ... named to the Freshman All-SEC Team by the league coaches ... saw time in 11 contests with seven starts, missing only the LSU and Kansas State games ... totaled 45 tackles, including one for loss (-1 yard), to go with eight pass breakups ... added one interception with a 21-yard return and a fumble recovery ... selected as a semifinalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award. Utah State: Made his first career appearance and start, finishing with one tackle against the Aggies. Texas: Came off the bench to record five tackles with one pass breakup. ULM: Totaled two stops, including one for loss (-1 yard) ... added one pass breakup in his start against the Warhawks. Vanderbilt: Recorded five tackles in the SEC opener. Arkansas: Finished with six tackles and a pass breakup against the Hogs. Texas A&M: Totaled eight tackles, one pass breakup and his first career interception ... returned the pick 21 yards before being pushed out of bounds. Tennessee: Recorded four tackles against the Vols. Mississippi State: Entered off the bench on defense while also working on special teams ... notched one tackle.
