2023

Authored the 20th 1,000-yard rushing season in Cincinnati football history…Finished with 1,047 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 192 carries (5.5 ypc)…Added 12 receptions for 49 yards…Reached 100 yards six times over 12 starts…His 1,047 rushing yards ranks 17th in Cincinnati history…His 87.3 rushing ypg ranked eighth in the Big 12…Tallied four carries of 40+ and three of 50+…Lifted the Bearcats to a 27-21 victory at Pitt by rushing for a career-high 153 yards, including a career-long 68-yard dash, and one touchdown on 20 carries…Had 77 yards on 19 carries at BYU…Finished with 129 yards, including a 40-yarder, on 15 carries against Baylor…Tallied 114 yards and one score versus UCF…Had 129 yards, including a 62-yarder, and two touchdowns on a career-high 23 carries in the win at Houston…Capped the season with 106 yards on 18 totes versus Kansas…Opened the fall with 105 yards, including a 54-yard run, versus Eastern Kentucky.

 

2022

Rushed 81 times for 362 yards and five touchdowns over 10 games in his first season with the Bearcats after transferring from LSU...Had a rushing touchdown in his first five games...Also had two receptions for two yards...Best game was a 106-yard, one-TD performance on 12 carries at Tulsa...Opened the season with 59 yards and one score on 12 attempts at Arkansas...Had 39 yards and a score versus Kennesaw State and 32 yards and a touchdown versus Miami (Ohio)...Had a season-high 14 carries, but just 17 yards and a score against Indiana...Tallied 43 yards at SMU...Finished with 36 yards at Temple...closed the season with 11 yards against Louisville in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl. 

 

2021 (LSU)

Earned valuable reps as a true freshman at LSU, totaling 79 carries for 324 yards (4.1 per carry) and two touchdowns...Had 11 and 12 carries the first two weeks against McNeese and Central Michigan, with rushes of 23 and 26 yards respectively, and scoring in each game...Also had 10 carries at Ole Miss and 14 in the Texas Bowl against Kansas State...Had season-high 74 yards against CMU, as well as 56 against McNeese and 53 versus K-State...Recorded catches against Auburn and ULM for 10 combined yards.

 

PERSONAL

 

Named Mr. Football for the state of Ohio in December of 2020…Prepped at Roger Bacon High School in Cincinnati…Four-star prospect in the 247 Sports Composite, ESPN and Rivals …In the 247 Sports Composite, ranked No. 163 overall nationally, the No. 7 prospect in the state of Ohio and the nation’s No. 7 running back prospect…Finished prep career ranked No. 10 in Ohio High School Athletic Association history in rushing yards (7,130) and No. 3 all-time in scoring (772), rushing touchdowns (116) and total touchdowns (125)…Led Roger Bacon to its first-ever regional championship in 2020, rushing for 1,866 yards and 35 touchdowns…Also named Ohio Division V Offensive Player of the Year…Became only second player in the Cincinnati area to be named Mr. Football in Ohio since 1992 (Evan Prater, 2019 and Marc Edwards, 1992)…Despite missing 34 quarters of action in the last two years due to lopsided wins, still rushed for over 4,000 yards combined as a junior and senior…Roger Bacon won 19 of its 20 games by over two TDs in 2019 and 2020…Once scored eight TDs in a game against Christian Hills Academic in October of 2019…In regional final victory, rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries…On Kiner, Roger Bacon Athletic Director Steve Rossi said, “I think what I’ll remember most about Corey’s high school career is the humility he has always shown.
