Week 14: In Florida State's big win over Louisville in the ACC Championship Game, Verse followed up last week three-sack effort with another three sacks against the Cardinals. He also pressured Louisville QB Jack Plummer on seven other dropbacks, as No. 4 Florida State finished the regular season undefeated at 13-0 — but was left out of the College Football Playoff. As a result of the decision, and to avoid an injury that might impact his draft status for next spring, Verse opted out of playing in the Orange Bowl as Florida State takes on Georgia. — JH

Week 13: The No. 4 Seminoles kept their record unblemished with its 24-15 win over rival Florida, and Verse had a big day on defense, recording three sacks and three solo tackles. He also added three assisted tackles. — JH

Week 12: Olayinnng 38 snaps against Northern Alabama, Verse recorded four quarterback pressures. He was in on three tackles but missed two other tackle opportunities. — JH

Week 11: In Florida State's 27-20 victory over interstate rival Miami, Verse played 48 snaps. He did not record a sack but did harass Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke, pressuring him six times in the win. He also collected two solo tackles and batted away a pass. He found himself in a rare coverage situation, allowing one catch for nine yards. — JH

Week 10: The edge defender had a quieter day than in Week 9, recording two QB pressures and was in on two tackles. Florida State remained unbeaten and moved to No. 4 in the rankings. — JH

Week 9: Verse's most dominant game as a pass rusher this season came in Florida State's 41-16 win over Wake Forest. Verse racked up three sacks and five other QB pressures as the Seminoles stay undefeated on the season. He also talled three solo tackles. — JH

Week 8: Playing 39 snaps in the 'Noles' 38-20 win over Duke, Verse pressured Blue Devils' quarterback Riley Leonard on three occasions. He also was in on five tackles, including one solo tackle. — JH

Week 7: The edge defender recorded three quarterback pressures and one tackle in Florida State's 41-3 blasting of Syracuse. — JH

Week 6: In Florida State's 39-17 win over over Va Tech, Verse recorded two sacks and was credited with two other QB pressures. He had two solo tackles and assisted on another. He was called for a penalty. — JH

Week 5: DNP - idle

Week 4: FSU won its fourth game versus Clemson in thrilling fashion 31-24 in OT.  Verse had a busy day, recording four tackles (season-high) and assisting on another.  He also registered three QB hurries, two QB hits, and one pass break-up.

Week 3: FSU won in its third game against Boston College 31-29.  Verse had three tackles and assisted on three others. He also pressured the quarterback once. He did miss two tackles. 

Week 2: FSU won its second game against Southern Miss, 66-13. Verse recorded one tackle, one assisted tackle, along with a half sack and two hits on the quarterback.  

Week 1: FSU won its first game against LSU 45-24. Verse recorded two tackles (one solo and one assisted). He also had three QB hurries.
