Andrew Carnahan

Despite starting 37 games for the Sun Devils, Carnahan has to answer durability questions. He missed much of the 2006 season with a torn ACL and missed three games in 2005 with a broken right hand. Carnahan isn't a top athlete, but before the injuries he had proven himself to be a consistent, reliable producer who made the most of his abilities.

Already has a lean, tall frame, and could add 10-15 pounds with no loss of quickness. Not a special athlete, but has good initial quickness and an effective hand punch to gain a quick advantage. Good quickness and positioning as run blocker. Can wall off the defender and limit his effectiveness. A competitor who gets the most out of his ability.

negatives

Marginal foot quickness and balance to handle speed rushers. Good positioning and technique, but lacks explosiveness as a run blocker. More of a wall-off blocker than one who engages and gains movement. Lacks the athleticism to block on the move. Tore the ACL in his left knee as a senior and may not be ready to contribute in 2007.

2005: Missed three games with a broken right hand. 2006: Limited to just five games due to knee surgery. Was not able to participate in the Combine workouts due to recovery from that surgery.

Combine: Did not participate in the individual or positional drills while recovering from knee surgery.
