UPDATES
Week 8: In BYU's 27-14 win over Texas Tech, Suamataiai played 57 snaps but allowed two pressures against Cougars' QB Kedon Slovis. He was not overwhelming in his run-blocking either. Perhaps the guard's least effective outing in weeks. — JH
Week 7: The Cougars guard logged a season-high 67 snaps in BYU's 44-11 loss to host TCU. Despite his team's drubbing, Suamataia had perhaps his strongest day of the season in pass protection, allowing no sacks and pressures. His run-blocking did not grade out so successfully. — JH
Week 6: DNP — BYU idle
Week 5: Suamataia logged 56 total snaps in BYU's 35-27 win over Cincinnati. The tackle again played well in pass protection — no sacks and no pressures in 27 passing plays — but not as well in run-blocking assignments. — JH
Week 4: The big guard did allow one QB pressure but otherwise had an outstanding day protecting Kedon Slovis who threw 51 times and had 357 yards passing. He wasn't quite as stout in run blocking but nor was the OL in general, as BYU rushed for just nine yards in its 38-27 loss to Kansas. — JH
Week 3: Suamataia allowed two pressures on BYU quarterback Kedon Slovis, in the Cougars' 38-31 road win against Arkansas to stay unbeaten. The tackle otherwise had a good pass blocking day. — JH
Week 2: Suamataia was in on 24 total snaps in BYU's 41-13 thrashing of Southern Utah. He didn't have a very good day in pass protection as he allowed two hurries in just 14 pass blocking assignments. — JH
Week 1: Suamataia played in a total of 69 offensive snaps (36 passing block, 33 run plays) and graded out to an average performance as BYU got a rather uninspired 14-0 win over Sam Houston State. The big tackle also committed two penalties. — JH
Week 0: DNP
