P · Michigan
Positives...Conventional punter who can also handle placement, field goal and kickoff duties in an emergency...Natural two-step punter who gets good trajectory and distance behind his attempts...Has solid hands to field the high snap...Shows explosiveness on contact with the ball...Displays a natural motion through his delivery towards the pigskin (average 1.32 seconds touch-to-toe)...Also shows effective hang time (4.5 second average) on his boots...Adept at kicking the "pooch" punt...Keeps his calm under pressure and playing in Michigan during the fall, he's proven that he can kick in poor weather conditions...Also shows willingness to support the coverage unit with his wrapup tackling ability. Negatives...Needs to increase the speed of his touch-to-toe mechanics, as he runs the danger of having his attempts blocked due to the long time it takes for him to get the ball off, at times... Needs to show more extension and lift with his leg on his attempts (some hang very low to the ground).
