HISTORY — From College Profile
2022 SEASON:
• First-team All-ACC performer in 2022.
• Played the most coverage snaps in the nation without allowing a touchdown in 2022 (482) according to PFF.
• Ranked second in the ACC in interceptions with four for the season - that was the No. 33 mark in the FBS.
• Tied for seventh in the ACC in passes defended in 2022.
• Named the Walter Camp National FBS Defensive Player of the Week and ACC DB of the week for the Texas Tech win.
• Had two INTs in the CSU contest, one was an 84-yard pick six.
• That was the seventh-longest INT return in school history and the longest since 2001.
• Also had an eight-yard sack and five total tackles.
• Winner of the team’s Dewayne Washington Award for most valuable defensive back.
• Missed spring practice as he continued to rehab following surgery.
2021 SEASON:
• Backup corner who started the BC and Miami games.
• Broke up a career-best two passes vs. Louisville.
2020 SEASON:
• Saw action in 10 games as a true freshman.
• One of three true freshmen to start on defense in 2020.
• Played on special teams only in the first five contests.
• Of his 210 season snaps from scrimmage, 204 came in the last four games.
• Named the ACC Rookie of the Week for his performance against No. 21 Liberty - he had a crucial interception in that victory.
• Tallied a career-high four tackles in his first game as a starter - the win over Georgia Tech.
HIGH SCHOOL:
• Played defensive back and wide receiver at Christ School for coach Nick Luhm.
• Career stats: In his three-year varsity career, recorded 81 tackles and seven interceptions. On offense, pulled down 102 receptions for 1,846 yards and 20 touchdowns. Averaged 18.1 yards per catch.
• As a senior: In nine games, tallied 16 tackles and a pair of interceptions. Caught 27 passes for 536 yards and eight touchdowns. Returned both a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown. Named first-team all-state as an all-purpose performer. Helped team advance to the NCISAA Div 1 state championships.
• As a junior: Finished with 39 tackles and three INTs. Hauled in 60 catches for 1,049 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 95.4 yards receiving per game. Helped lead school to the state title game.
• As a sophomore: Tallied 15 catches for 261 yards and a score.
• Rankings: The No. 25 recruit in the state of North Carolina by rivals.com. No. 19 recruit in North Carolina and No. 54 cornerback nationally by 247sports.com. No. 68 cornerback nationally by ESPN.com.
