OVERVIEW

 Michael Pratt is one of the more experienced starting signal-callers eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft — he’s been the starter since his true freshman season back in 2020. A well-respected leader who has shown consistent improvement throughout the course of his career with the Green Wave, Pratt looks like a potential contender as a developmental quarterback for a pro team when he transitions to the league. His improved accuracy and efficiency over the last two years will be key selling points in his bid to pursue a starting role down the line.

Career: Has started 35 games while completing 544 of 920 passes for 7,196 yards and 68 passing touchdowns.... Also has 349 rushing attempts for 849 yards and 23 touchdowns...Enters the season ranking in the top-10 in the career record books at Tulane in lowest interception ratio (1st - 2.28), passing efficiency (1st – 144.7), passing touchdowns (3rd - 68), completion percentage (4th - 59.1), passing yards per game (4th-205.6), passing yards (5th – 7,196), completions (6th - 544), 300-yard passing games (6th – 5), completions per game (7th – 15.54) and yards per completion (7th - 13.22)...The 68 passing touchdowns are only two from reaching Shaun King for second and only four from tying the Patrick Ramsey’s school record.

2022:  Played in and started 13 games, went 215 for 338 in passing, had a 63.6 completion percentage (third best in a single season), threw for 3,009 yards (fourth most in a single season), threw for 27 touchdowns (third most in a single season) and had a 161.8 passing efficiency rating....Also finished second all-time at the school in a single season with his 5.4 touchdown to interception ratio and with his 8.9 yards per attempt... Finished second on the team in 2022 with his 129 carries for 478 yards and 10 touchdowns...The 10 rushing touchdowns are the second-most ever recorded by a Tulane quarterback in a single season...Ran for 87 yards against Kansas State (9/17)...Had three rushing touchdowns against SMU (11/17)...Ran for 83 yards against USC in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl (1/2)...Threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns against Alcorn State (9/10)...Completed 27 passes for 326 yards against East Carolina (10/8)...Threw for 329 yards on 23 completions with two touchdown passes against USF (10/15)...Had a pair of touchdown passes against Tulsa (11/5)...Completed 23 passes for 236 yards and three touchdown passes against UCF (11/12)...Threw three touchdown passes against SMU (11/17)...Completed 20 passes for 394 yards and four touchdowns against UCF (12/3) in the AAC Championship Game...Completed eight passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns plus had the game-tying touchdown pass in the closing seconds against USC in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl...Named to the AAC’s All-Academic Team 

2021: Had a career season starting in 11 games...Posted a career-best 2544 all-purpose yards and 26 touchdowns… Went seven straight games with a touchdown pass...Earned AAC Honorable Mention honors after throwing three touchdowns for a total of 296 yards and rushing for 34 yards and a touchdown at Oklahoma (9/4)…. Went 8 of 13 for 125 yards and two touchdowns in the air and rushed on in through two quarters versus Morgan State (9/11… Totaled 177 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns at Ole Miss (9/18)… Had another 296-yard game through the air and added three more touchdowns to his stat line versus UAB (9/25)… Had a career-long 59-yard pass for a touchdown at ECU (10/ 2)… Went 20 of 30 for 214 yards and two touchdowns at home versus Houston (10/ 7)… Threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns on the road through three quarters at SMU (10/21)… Bounced back from injury having a career night versus USF, going 19 of 24 for 311 yards and three touchdowns (11/19). 2020: Burst on the collegiate football scene and quickly established himself as one of the top freshman quarterbacks in the nation…Saw action in 10 games and made nine starts…Finished the regular season with 1,806 yards passing and 20 touchdowns…His 20 touchdowns were the most among any true freshman quarterback in the nation…Also established himself as running threat, as he rushed for 229 yards and eight touchdowns…Threw at least one touchdown pass in every game he played in and threw for multiple touchdowns in eight games…Came off the bench at Southern Miss (9/26) and threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns…Passed for 192 yards, including a touchdown and rushed for a pair of scores against No. 17-ranked SMU (10/16)…Surpassed 200 yards passing for the first time in his career against UCF (10/24), as he totaled 215 yards through the air and had three touchdowns…Threw for a pair of touchdowns and totaled 205 yards passing against Temple (10/31)…Posted his third straight 200-yard passing effort, as he posted 216 yards through the air against ECU (11/7)…He tossed three touchdowns against ECU…Displayed pinpoint accuracy against No. 25-ranked Army (11/14), as he completed a season-best 70.4 percent of his passes and had two passing touchdowns…Tossed a pair of touchdowns against Tulsa (11/21)…Closed out the regular season on a high note, as he accounted for a season-best four touchdowns (two rushing and two passing) at home against Memphis (12/5).
