extends well to keep rushers from his body and does a nice job in space to latch-and-drive. tough competitor and leaves it all out on the field and is considered a high effort player by his coaches and teammates. three-year starter with 37 career starts, all at left guard.

WEAKNESSES

not the most natural in space with average footwork and needs to be quicker and more consistent when pulling or at the second level. will struggle to mirror at times with so-so upper body and lower body reflexes - not the most reliable on an island. sluggish at times working through the mud and needs to improve his reaction quickness.

Needs to be more aggressive with his hands in pass protection and his placement isn't a strength, struggling to properly control his limb movements. A few too many false start penalties on his resume. Some concerns with his right knee after a torn PCL (Oct. 2013), missing one game, then a first-degree sprain of the MCL (Nov. 2013) to the same knee, keeping him out of the Bowl Game and Senior Bowl - neither injury requires surgery.

Wide-bodied with a solid trunk. Balanced athlete with decent movement skills. Sinks and anchors well to absorb contact at the point of attack and hold his ground. Physical and won't shy from contact with powerful hands to redirect rushers and gain positioning - quick punch and uses his mitts in both pass protection and run blocking.
