Taylor Stubblefield

WR · Purdue
Positives...More quicker than fast, but has enough burst to get away from the jam...has a good feel for sitting in the soft spot of the zone...Shows very good field awareness and shows a feel for separating from the defender...Works hard to get open and utilizes inside-out moves to get open...Has soft, natural hands and is very reliable when going for the ball...Has the body control to reach back and catch the poorly thrown ball...Shows balance throughout his routes and plays with courage going for the ball in a crowd...Is often aligned in the slot to compensate for a lack of timed speed...Has the ability to find the seams, settle in and then work to get open...When he is not pressed at the line, he will find ways to get open...Does a good job of picking up the blitz as the hot receiver...Shows a quick burst coming out of his breaks. Negatives...Has a skinny, frail-looking frame with no muscle tone, very thin arms and no bubble or lower body bulk...Has poor timed speed...needs a free lane to get into his routes, as he will get stymied by a physical press...Lacks explosion as a runner and must rely on moves to get open...Lacks the size and strength to win most battles in traffic... Does not have the burst or second gear to be a deep threat...will not win many foot races after the catch...Marginal blocker with no strength to face up or sustain...Has short arms (29 ¾-inch length) and very small hands (8-inches).
