Oregon’s Bo Nix among 16 finalists for Campbell Trophy

Bo Nix is a finalist for the Campbell Trophy.
Oregon’s quarterback is among 16 finalists for the award, known as the academic Heisman, which recognizes combined academic success, football performance and leadership. Each finalist will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2023 National Football Foundation national scholar-athlete class.
Nix, who graduated magna cum laude from Auburn in 2021 and is currently pursuing a master’s in public relations, is Oregon’s fourth Campbell Trophy finalist, joining Bill Musgrave, Dennis Dixon and 2019 Campbell Trophy winner Justin Herbert.
The finalists will travel to the ARIA resort & casino in Las Vegas for the 65th NFF annual awards dinner on Dec. 5, during which the winner will be announced. The winner’s scholarship increases to $25,000 and they’ll be recognized during the College Football Award on Dec. 7 and appear at the Heisman Trophy dinner and be recognized at the New York Athletic Club on Dev. 11.

Iowa’s Jack Campbell won the award last year.
