Wide receiver Will Hastings of Auburn, who had 26 receptions for 535 yards and four touchdowns last season, has undergone ACL surgery.
March has not been kind to Auburn receivers. Tigers wide receiver Eli Stove underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL earlier this month after he was injured during a spring practice. This week, al.com reported that Auburn wide receiver Will Hastings also had surgery for a torn ACL, which he sustained during a scrimmage last weekend. Stove, who will be a junior next season, tied for second on the team in receptions in 2017 with 29 for 265 yards. Hastings was even more productive. He had 26 for 535 receiving yards, which ranked third on the team, and four touchdowns. His 20.2 yards per reception was second on the squad. There is no timeline for a return for Hastings, who is scheduled to be a senior next fall. Head coach Gus Malzahn said last week he expects Stove to return at some point during the 2018 season. Also, wide receiver Ryan Davis, who led the Tigers last season in catches (84), yards (815) and touchdown receptions (five), has been limited this spring after having minor shoulder surgery.
