Deshaun Watson and Elijah Moore both absent from Browns practice

BEREA, Ohio -- On the first day of practice after the Browns trimmed their roster to 53, Deshaun Watson and Elijah Moore were conspicuously absent from the practice field.
As it turns out, both were sick. Coach Kevin Stefanski will update the media after practice Tuesday.
With Watson out, rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson was the only quarterback throwing to receivers and tight ends and handing off to the running backs. The Browns currently only have two quarterbacks in the building after waiving Kellen Mond on Tuesday, but they hope to sign Mond back to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
The Browns did have three offensive players back from injuries on Tuesday: wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (blood clots), running back Jerome Ford (hamstring) and tight end Harrison Bryant (undisclosed medical condition.
Goodwin, 32, was activated off the non-football injury list on Sunday, where he had been for all of camp. Ford suffered the hamstring injury on Aug. 7, and Bryant has been idle since the early days of camp at The Greenbrier Sports Complex in West Virginia.
The Browns have three practices this week before getting Friday, Saturday and Sunday off with all other NFL teams. They’ll return on Monday to begin preparations in earnest for the opener Sept. 10 against the Bengals.
