Four Texas Tech players who were arrested over the weekend have been suspended indefinitely, multiple media outlets reported. Quarterback Jett Duffey, wide receiver Quan Shorts, defensive back Desmond Smith and linebacker Christian Taylor were arrested following an incident outside a nightclub in Lubbock, Texas. Duffey and Taylor were charged with criminal mischief, while Shorts and Smith were charged with disorderly conduct. Red Raiders head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced on Tuesday that all four have been indefinitely suspended from the team. Kingsbury said the players will be punished internally for their actions, RedRaiderSports.com reported. Kingsbury is waiting for the legal process to play out before determining the punishment. --Ohio State middle linebacker Tuf Borland will miss the rest of spring practice due to an Achilles tendon injury, multiple outlets reported. Borland suffered a strained Achilles tendon during practice last week and will be sidelined indefinitely. However, the injury is not expected to threaten his 2018 season, according to Cleveland.com. Borland, a redshirt sophomore, had been working with the starting unit during drills before he was hurt. He started nine of the final 11 games last season and finished fourth on the team with 58 tackles. Justin Hilliard and Baron Browning, who both arrived at Ohio State as five-star recruits, are next behind Borland at middle linebacker. Hilliard worked with the first unit Monday. Browning, a member of Ohio State's 2017 recruiting class, enrolled in classes in January. --University of Pittsburgh tight end Chris Clark has taken a personal leave from the team, head coach Pat Narduzzi said Tuesday. Clark appeared in eight games with the Panthers in 2017, hauling in 16 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown in his first full season at the school. Clark appeared in one game for UCLA in 2015 before leaving the program. He had to sit out the 2016 season due to transfer rules.
