Enos among hires announced by Alabama
Alabama head coach Nick Saban will have a number of new faces on his staff next season.
Most of the changes to Alabama's coaching staff were reported earlier, but the school officially announced the moves in the revamped staff on Thursday.
Dan Enos, who was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Arkansas for the past three seasons and was hired as an offensive assistant at Michigan a month ago, will be the Crimson Tide's quarterbacks coach and will also have the title of associate head coach.
"We are pleased and happy to have Dan Enos joining our coaching staff at The University of Alabama," head coach Nick Saban said in a statement. "He brings a wealth of knowledge with five years of head coaching experience and numerous stops as an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Dan is a bright football mind and an outstanding recruiter who will strengthen our coaching staff and give our players the best chance to be successful."
Craig Kuligowski, the defensive line coach and assistant head coach at Miami the past two years, will serve as Alabama's defensive line coach and will also be an associate head coach.
The school also confirmed that Mike Locksley, Alabama's wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator last year, has been promoted to offensive coordinator, and Tosh Lupoi, the Tide's outside linebackers coach this past season, has been promoted to defensive coordinator.
Locksley replaces Brian Daboll, who left after one season with Alabama to become offensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills, and Lupoi steps in for Jeremy Pruitt, who departed to become Tennessee's head coach.
Also, Jeff Banks, who spent the past five seasons as tight ends coach and special-teams coordinator at Texas A&M, will serve as Alabama's special teams coordinator and also handle tight ends.
Josh Gattis, the wide receivers and passing game coordinator at Penn State the past four seasons, has been confirmed as the new wide receivers coach, and Pete Golding will have the title of co-defensive coordinator as well as inside linebackers coach.
Joe Pannunzio, who had been in charge of tight ends at Alabama, will be the running backs coach, replacing Burton Burns, who will have an unspecified role off the field.
