Texans RB Foreman remains out with Achilles injury

Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman is not sure when he will return from his Achilles tendon injury. Foreman's rookie season was cut short in November when he tore an Achilles tendon and is still rehabbing the injury. General Manager Brian Gaine said in May that the Texans were hopeful that Foreman would return in time for training camp later this summer. That seems far from uncertain. "At this point, it's just when I feel ready to go and when the trainers and everybody feels it's best for me to get on the field and play a game," Foreman told the Houston Chronicle. "I'm just focused on doing everything I possibly can and making sure my weight is where it's supposed to be and being sure when I get out there that I'm able to perform at a high level like I was before." Foreman finished 2017 with 78 rushes for 327 yards and two touchdowns. Lamar Miller is expected to remain the starter for the Texans, who re-signed veteran Alfred Blue this offseason. The team also has Tyler Ervin and Troymaine Pope as options in the backfield.
