HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Ill. • wore No. 74 for the Vikings • started at left tackle his junior and senior seasons helping the Vikings to a 20-3 record • anchored an offense that averaged more 40 points a game • named IHSFCA 8A All-State, Southwestern Suburban All-Conference, earned Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette IHSA Football All-State honors and was named to the Chicago Tribune All-State Team his senior season • consensus three-star recruit by Scout, Rivals, 247 Sports and ESPN • Scout ranked him as a center and had him as the No. 1 center in the Midwest, the No. 8 center in the nation and the No. 96 recruit in the Midwest • as a guard, ESPN listed him listed him as the No. 14 recruit in Illinois, while Illinois had him at No. 33 • coached by Craig Buzea • also lettered in wrestling.
