2020 • JUNIOR SEASON: Started six games at center and blocked for an offense that totaled 2,738 yards and averaged 27.3 points per game. Game-by-Game: Started against Michigan and at Maryland • blocked for an offense that totaled 541 yards (325 rushing and 216 passing) and 41 points at Illinois • started against Iowa • blocked for an offense that totaled 394 yards (264 passing; 130 rushing and five rushing TDs) against Purdue and did not allow a sack • missed the game at Nebraska • started at Wisconsin and protected for an offense that gained 326 yards.  

2019 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in 13 games and started four at center • blocked for an offense that totaled 5,616 yards (third most in school history), 3,293 passing yards (school record), 294 first downs (second most in school history), 443 points (second most in school history) and a scoring average of 34.1 points per game (three most in school history). Game-by-Game: Competed on special teams against South Dakota State and at Fresno State • played special teams against Georgia Southern and also played one snap at center on the offensive line • made his first career start at center against Nebraska and blocked for an offense that rushed for 322 yards and four touchdowns • blocked for an offense that gained 443 yards and allowed zero sacks at Rutgers • blocked for an offense that scored 52 points, totaled 498 yards and did not allow a sack against Maryland • protected for an offense that completed 90% of its passes (18-of-20) and threw for 339 yards and three touchdowns against Penn State • started at center and protected for an offense that threw for 368 yards and one touchdown at Iowa • protected for an offense that rushed for 212 yards and one touchdown and threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns at Northwestern • played the majority of the Wisconsin game at center after the lined was forced to shift because of injury • started at center and protected for an offense that gained 494 yards against Auburn and did not allow a sack in the Outback Bowl.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Ill. • wore No. 74 for the Vikings • started at left tackle his junior and senior seasons helping the Vikings to a 20-3 record • anchored an offense that averaged more 40 points a game • named IHSFCA 8A All-State, Southwestern Suburban All-Conference, earned Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette IHSA Football All-State honors and was named to the Chicago Tribune All-State Team his senior season • consensus three-star recruit by Scout, Rivals, 247 Sports and ESPN • Scout ranked him as a center and had him as the No. 1 center in the Midwest, the No. 8 center in the nation and the No. 96 recruit in the Midwest • as a guard, ESPN listed him listed him as the No. 14 recruit in Illinois, while Illinois had him at No. 33 • coached by Craig Buzea • also lettered in wrestling.
