AS A SOPHOMORE (2022)

  • Led the Irish with 920 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns during the season. Ran 156 times, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. Caught nine passes for 135 yards and a score during the campaign. Played in all 13 games, making two starts. 11 rushing touchdowns ranks 10th-most all time in a single season.
  • OHIO STATE (9/3): Earned his first career start in the backfield. Finished with nine carries for 21 yards. Scored his first career touchdown on a one-yard plunge for the first Irish touchdown of the year
  • MARSHALL (9/10): Carried the ball 10 times for 33 yards against the Herd
  • CALIFORNIA (9/17): Carried the ball a career-high 18 times for 78 yards. First Notre Dame Stadium touchdown, scoring on a one-yard dive in the third quarter. Caught his first career pass in the first quarter, finishing with three catches for 43 yards. Season-high 36-yard reception in the third quarter
  • NORTH CAROLINA (9/24): First career 100-yard rushing game, totaling 134 yards against the Tar Heels. Scored a career-best two touchdowns in the win over North Carolina. Ran for a then career-best 29-yard carry
  • BYU (10/8): Carried the ball 14 times for 97 yards. Caught one pass, an underhand flip from Drew Pyne in the backfield and went on to hurdle a defender for a 13-yard gain and a first down. Broke off a 46-yard run late in the game to set up a Blake Grupe field goal to extend the Irish lead to eight points.
  • STANFORD (10/15): Ran for 57 yards on eight carries. Scored his fifth touchdown of the season. Caught one pass for a gain of 10 yards.
  • UNLV (10/22): Carried three times for 17 yards with a touchdown.
  • SYRACUSE (10/29): Carried 20 times for 123 yards. Matched a career-record with two touchdowns.
  • CLEMSON (11/5): Ran 18 times for 104 yards. One of two Irish runners to surpass the century-mark in the victory over No. 5 Clemson. Scored his team-best ninth touchdown of the season.
  • NAVY (11/12): Caught his first receiving touchdown of his career, a 30-yard angle route out of the back field for the game’s first score. Finished with 49 yards on eight carries to go with his one catch for 30 yards.
  • BOSTON COLLEGE (11/19): Rumbled for 71 yards on 11 carries. Scored two touchdowns in the win.
  • USC (11/26): Ran for 43 yards on six carries in the loss. Added two catches for 31 yards, picking up 29 after the reception. Season-high 30 yard reception in the third quarter.
  • SOUTH CAROLINA – TAXSLAYER GATOR BOWL (12/30): Recorded 95 rushing yards on 14 carries to lead the team to a victory. Added a reception for eight yards.
